Role & responsibilities

1. Costing Analysis & Reporting:

• Calculate and maintain accurate product costs for all manufactured goods and services.
• Develop cost models and perform cost allocation methodologies to track cost drivers across the production cycle.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management review.
• Perform variance analysis to identify cost discrepancies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate with Sales Costing for improving the accuracy of the quote and pricing

2. Collaboration and Cross-functional Support:

• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure accurate costs for raw materials and supplies.
• Work with production teams to understand and document manufacturing processes and related costs.
• Provide costing support to the sales team to help in pricing strategies and product profitability analysis.

3. Product Profitability Analysis:

• Analyze the profitability of individual products or product lines, recommending pricing adjustments or cost-cutting measures where necessary.
• Assist the finance team in forecasting and budgeting by providing detailed product cost estimates and scenario analyses.

4. Cost Control and Optimization:

• Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in the production process.
• Suggest measures to optimize resource usage, production processes, and logistics for reducing product costs.

Preferred candidate profile

• Educational Qualification- ICWA/CA/CA-Inter
• 3-7 years of experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role in a manufacturing industry
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
• Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables and Excel Spreadsheets)
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
