Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HashiCorp Vault Administrator to join our SecDevOps team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of HashiCorp Vault, its deployment, configuration, and maintenance in cloud and on-prem environments. You will be responsible for provisioning additional Vault resources, advising on best practices, end-user support, and maintaining/improving the user experience of our internal customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain HashiCorp Vault infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.

Manage secrets lifecycle (generation, rotation, and revocation) to ensure secure access to sensitive information.

Develop and manage policies for authentication, authorization, and secrets management.

Implement and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for Vault.

Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and security teams to integrate Vault with applications, CI/CD pipelines, and other security systems.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions for any Vault-related incidents.

Ensure compliance with security policies, including audits and internal reviews.

Create and maintain detailed documentation of the Vault architecture, policies, and procedures.

Implement access control policies using Vault's role-based access control (RBAC).

Assist in scaling and optimizing Vault clusters for performance and security.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum 5+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, or security roles.

Hands-on experience managing HashiCorp Vault in production environments.

Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration.

Understanding of secrets management, cryptography, and PKI systems.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their security mechanisms.

Familiarity with networking concepts, security practices, and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Familiarity with API-driven development and integration.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with automation tools like Terraform for Vault infrastructure management.

Experience writing Python

Experience with Gitlab CI and/or GitHub actions

Knowledge of service mesh and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.

Experience with monitoring and logging solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices.

Certifications like HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate or AWS/GCP/Azure security certifications are a plus.
