Scientist - II

Diversey is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer / Scientist to provide technical expertise and develop new product for our Solenis product portfolio. The focus of this role will be to develop, design and test product / new application related to Diversey portfolio and provide support to technical teams & Formulators. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated knowledgeable individual that can solve a wide variety of problems, has strong technical background and manage and prioritize shorter term projects and product developments. The individual in this position will effectively partner with other departments such as Regulatory function, Marketing, Supply Chain & Technical Services. The individual will manage product development process, conduct laboratory experiments, run & design test protocol for product approvals, make report and present findings to management. The individual will be responsible for generating idea, developing product, getting customer approval. Regularly communicates progress of, and requirements to complete assigned work with manager and project teams. Leads assigned project tasks. Provides creative solutions to project management problems through understanding of new and emerging techniques inside and outside the company

Skills, Certification or Special Training Required

• Master s or PhD degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Technology, Food Technology or equivalent
• Know - how on chemistry & formulation, specialty/FMCG chemicals, R&D tools and techniques, Stage gate process, Six Sigma tools
• Ability to manage time and activities to deliver to assigned goals
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively with peers in R&D and other departments as a team player
• Project management skills, Process Management, Decision Making, Planning & Estimating, Monitoring & Controlling
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, result oriented
• Ability to lead and drive execution of scientific projects with clear accountability
