Job Overview:
JSW Sarbloh Motors is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented person for Project Management to lead and oversee Defence-related manufacturing projects. The right candidate will work closely with the CEO, internal teams, external partners, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects, from initiation to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution:
• Develop comprehensive project plans for defence manufacturing projects, defining scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams (engineering, design, manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, etc.) to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Establish project milestones, monitor progress, and ensure all deliverables are met according to the project schedule.
• Ensure the application of robust project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Budget and Resource Management:
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently and costs are controlled.
• Procure and allocate materials, equipment, and resources required for production.
• Monitor resource utilization and adjust as needed to stay within project timelines and budget constraints.
3. Risk Management & Issue Resolution:
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, including technical, financial, and scheduling risks.
• Implement risk management plans, ensuring that any issues or potential delays are promptly addressed.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve technical challenges, production delays, or supply chain issues.
4. Stakeholder Communication:
• Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, senior management, clients, government agencies, and external suppliers.
• Provide regular project status updates, including progress reports, risks, and mitigation strategies, to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between various departments and external contractors to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
5. Quality Control & Compliance:
• Ensure that all project deliverables adhere to the required defence industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality specifications.
• Oversee the testing, evaluation, and certification processes for defence products, ensuring products meet all safety and performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with government and international regulations, including security clearances, export controls, and safety standards (e.g., ITAR, FAR, etc.).
6. Manufacturing & Production Oversight:
• Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure timely production, quality, and efficiency, working closely with production managers and engineers.
• Manage any prototype or test production phases, ensuring products meet the required specifications before full-scale manufacturing.
• Ensure the timely delivery of components and systems while meeting all technical and operational requirements.
7. Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and the achievement of project goals.
• Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages knowledge-sharing, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide professional development opportunities to team members.
8. Contract & Vendor Management:
• Manage contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other external partners, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, parts, and systems necessary for the project.
• Negotiate contract terms, resolve issues with vendors, and monitor vendor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Post-Project Review & Continuous Improvement:
• Lead post-project evaluations to assess successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
• Identify areas for process improvement, cost savings, and efficiency gains for future projects.
• Contribute to the development of improved project management practices within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelors degree in Automobile Engineering, Project Management- Defence Technology, or a related field. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on defence manufacturing or defence technology sectors.
• Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects, ideally within the defence, aerospace, or military industries.
• Strong knowledge of defence industry regulations.
• Skills:
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with experience in managing budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of defence industry manufacturing processes, including testing, validation, and certification.
• Familiarity with defence-related quality management systems, such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent.
• Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira).
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Strong MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Canva.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and high-stakes environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in managing projects involving complex military systems (e.g., weapons, communications, vehicles, etc.).
• Familiarity with contract negotiations and working with government agencies.
• Experience in managing projects with international partners or suppliers.

Working Conditions:

• This is a full-time position, with the possibility of occasional travel to client sites, manufacturing facilities, or government facilities.
• Ability to work in a secure environment, where access to certain information may be restricted based on security clearances.
• Must be able to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure in a highly regulated environment.
