Background Verification Associate

We are seeking a Background Verification Associate to join our team. As a fresher, you will be responsible for assisting in verifying candidates' backgrounds and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. You will be a key player in ensuring the accuracy of the information provided by new hires, contributing to the companys hiring process and maintaining a trustworthy and reliable workforce.

Role & Responsibilities :

• Verify educational qualifications, previous employment history, criminal records, and other background information.
• Cross-check the authenticity of documents submitted by candidates, such as educational certificates, experience letters, identity proofs, etc.
• Communicate with candidates for clarification or additional documents related to the background check process.
• Respond to candidates' queries regarding the verification process.
• Enter the details of the verification process into the internal system.
• Maintain accurate records of the candidates verification progress and results.
• Contact educational institutions, previous employers, and other relevant parties to validate the information.
• Assist in liaising with third-party vendors (if applicable) to conduct background checks.
• Ensure all background checks are carried out in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information during the verification process.
• Assist in reviewing the background check reports for any discrepancies or incomplete information.
• Highlight any inconsistencies in candidate information to the HR team for further investigation.

• Strong attention to detail and an ability to spot discrepancies in information.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
