About this role :

As a Software Engineering Manager of Cloud Streaming Platform, you must have experience and well-rounded background in a diverse set of messaging middleware solutions (commercial, open source, in-house) with good understanding of architectures of such solutions such Kafka.

You'll need an established track record working with Kafka technology with hands-on production experience and a good understanding of the Kafka and internals of how it works to provide technical guidance and lead team to deliver new products and features.

Main responsibilities for this position include :

- Lead team to design, develop and implement the Kafka ecosystem by creating a framework for leveraging technologies such as Kafka and other streaming-oriented technology.

- Lead team to build out the DevOps strategy for hosting and managing our SDP microservice and connector infrastructure in AWS cloud.

- Good track record of working with big data technologies around Apache Hadoop, Kafka streaming, No SQL, Java/J2EE and distributed computing platforms in large enterprises where scale and complexity have been tackled.

- Good understanding and application of enterprise software design for implementation of data services and middleware.

- Proven experience participating in agile development projects for enterprise-level systems component design and implementation.

Qualifications :

What your background looks like :

- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline; Masters preferred.

- Knowledge and experience with Java, Scala, Python, Kafka, Containerized Micro Services.

- Knowledge and experience with RDBMS (Aurora MySQL) and No-SQL.

- AWS Cloud experience - S3, EFS, MSK, ECS, EMR, etc.

- Knowledge of Hadoop/Spark and various data formats like Parquet, CSV, etc is a plus.

- Great attention to details with analytical/curious mind.

- Organizational and communication skills.
