AI/ML Software Engineering Manager

We are recruiting a highly qualified technical leader to join a team which works at the forefront of the rapidly developing AI field with critical impact on the AMDs AI/ML products based on AI Engines. The teams responsibilities include providing scalable and performant solutions for the efficient implementation of ML workloads/operators on the existing and next-generation AMD products, which align with AMD s software and hardware roadmaps. We are looking for a technical leader to manage a portion of this worldwide team based in Bangalore.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong technical and managerial skills to drive the implementation and verification of scalable and performant solutions for the existing and emerging ML operators on the target AMD products mentioned above.
• Ability to analyze/address potential performance issues and work with the team on providing necessary fixes
• Maintaining the quality of the results while providing scalable solutions
• Effective communication/reporting of technical data with the worldwide team and internal engineering teams. Contributing to technical interactions with AMD customers

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in the state-of-the-art ML models/operators and their mapping on modern multicore architectures
• Understanding the general performance optimization techniques used in ML workloads, such as operator fusion, quantization
• Strong C/C++ programming experience and scripting skills (python/shell), being comfortable with both ISA-aware programming and providing necessary abstractions for scalable solutions
• Experience in managing a small team as a part of larger worldwide team

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• B.S. or M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
