Software Development Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer to design and develop cutting-edge machine vision algorithms and optimize AI models for healthcare applications. This role requires a hands-on engineer proficient in AI model optimization, cloud and local deployment, and robust software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop machine vision algorithms for image analysis and processing.
• Optimize AI models for cloud/local deployment, using techniques such as compression and quantization.
• Dockerize and deploy optimized models on scalable distributed infrastructure, managing the full model lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware components.
• Develop and maintain software applications for data analysis and visualization.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues to ensure reliability.
• Stay updated on trends and advancements in machine vision and image processing.
• Maintain an in-house GPU environment for efficient model training.
• Contribute to the academic community by publishing research and presenting findings at conferences.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 2+ years in software development with a focus on machine vision and image processing.
• Domain Expertise: Proven experience in developing Deep Learning models, ideally for healthcare applications, especially in Digital Pathology or related fields.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with AI model optimization techniques, including compression and quantization.
• Expertise in Dockerization and deploying models on scalable infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with additional programming languages such as C++ or Java is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
