About the Role :

They are looking for distributed systems experts who can help them perfect the architecture behind their key design principles: scalability, reliability, programmability, and resiliency.

Their system features a powerful dispatch engine that connects emergency service providers with patients in real-time.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient backend systems

- Write high-quality, well-documented, and maintainable code

- Seek and incorporate feedback from code and design reviews to improve code quality and design effectiveness

- Translate business or technical requirements into effective design documents such as ERDs and RFCs to address clearly defined problems

- Develop tests to verify code functionality and stability; establish monitoring and alerting systems to ensure code reliability

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products

Desired Skills :

- At least 6+ years of experience in backend development

- Strong proficiency in one or more of the following : NodeJS, Java, or Go

- Solid understanding of distributed and event-driven systems

- Production level experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases

- Strong emphasis on reliability and observability

- Experience of cloud-native architecture specification
