Job Description
- Candidates should possess strong proficiency in SQL and its variation among popular databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL etc..)
- Good experience working with SQL functions, analytical functions and performing unit testing.
- Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
- Sound understanding of Data Warehouse concepts (CDC, SCD, Facts, Dims etc..)
- Should be familiar with the concepts of a Data Model, Semantic Model etc...
- Knowledge of best practices when dealing with RDBMS.
- Capable of troubleshooting common SQL issues.
- Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
- Good knowledge of Java or Python language and should have experience creating scripts and integrating with databases.
- Willing to learn, adapt to and work on new technologies.
- Familiarity with Cloud concepts would be helpful (not a mandatory skill).
- Knowledge of any reporting tool (Tableau, PowerBI, MS) would be helpful (not a mandatory skill).
- Experience working on projects within the Life Sciences, Insurance, CPG domains would be helpful.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and should be able to express thoughts clearly and effectively.
- Should be able to work with other supporting teams, vendors and share updates, progress and status with leads, project managers and client managers.
