Job Summary: The Junior Accounts Assistant provides essential support to the finance department by performing basic accounting and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry:
Accurately input financial data into Tally software and spreadsheets.
Maintain and update records of financial transactions.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process invoices and expense claims.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable
Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconciliations:
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with reconciling supplier statements and ensuring accuracy.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and budgets.
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounts.
Administrative Support:
Organize and file financial documents, such as receipts, invoices, and statements.
Respond to internal and external queries related to finance.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant financial regulations.
Assist in preparing documents for audits.
Other Duties:
Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
Stay updated on accounting practices and standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Graduation or Post Graduation in Accounts & Commerce.
Pursuing or completed studies in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with Tally accounting software is must.
