Embedded Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded bare metal software for Bluetooth-enabled devices, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Experience in developing software with freertos, zephyr real time os.
• Implement Bluetooth communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth Classic, BLE) and integrate them with custom hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware components.
• Develop and maintain firmware for Bluetooth stacks and profiles, such as GATT, GAP, A2DP, HFP, Bluetooth mesh and others.
• Conduct debugging, testing, and performance analysis of Bluetooth software using tools like Wireshark, Bluetooth sniffers, and oscilloscopes.
• Optimize power consumption and data throughput in Bluetooth applications, focusing on resource-constrained environments.
• Stay updated with the latest Bluetooth specifications and technologies and apply them to ongoing and future projects.
• Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Document software designs, protocols, and test results, ensuring clear communication within the team and with external partners.
• Support the certification process for Bluetooth products, including compliance with Bluetooth SIG standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development, with a strong focus on Bluetooth technology.
• Experience in developing applications on Linux platforms is essential.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and experience with embedded systems.
• Deep understanding of Bluetooth protocol stack (e.g., L2CAP, RFCOMM, SDP, ATT, Bluetooth Mesh) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) profiles.
• Experience with Bluetooth development tools and debuggers, such as Bluetooth protocol analyzers.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level drivers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Bluetooth audio (e.g., A2DP, HFP) or Bluetooth mesh networking.
• Knowledge of other wireless protocols (e.g., Wi-Fi, Zigbee) and their coexistence with Bluetooth.
• Experience in optimizing Bluetooth software for low-power devices and wearables.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Prior experience in mentoring junior engineers or leading small teams.
