System Administration Specialist - IBM Products

Skilled and dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 1-4 years of experience in the system administration of IBM products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in the installation, configuration, migration, and troubleshooting of one or more IBM products, such as

• IBM DB2
• IBM FileNet
• IBM Datacap
• IBM SPSS
• IBM Rational Team Concert
• IBM SCAPM
• IBM Sterling File Gateway
• IBM Guardium
• IBM Storage Manager
• IBM Workload Scheduler
• IBM Web Application Server
• IBM Cloud Pack for Data
• IBM Cloud Pack for Integration
• IBM Elastic Storage Server.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Handle system migration processes while minimizing downtime and ensuring system integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IBM products in NON-PROD, PROD and DR environments.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to ensure system security and performance.

Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with disaster recovery strategies and high-availability solutions.
• Knowledge of Clustering, Grid and Containerization is a plus.
• Hands on working experience with operating systems such as IBM AIX and/or RedHat Linux.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell) is a plus.
• Understanding of ITIL processes is a plus.
