Key Responsibilities

• Drive Product Development: Spearhead new product design, lifecycle costing, and design for quality and manufacturability.
• Lead R&D Organization: Plan, execute, and enhance our R&D efforts, including project planning, resource allocation, and performance reviews.
• Mentor and Grow Talent: Recruit, train, and manage a team of skilled R&D engineers, fostering their professional growth.
• Optimize Processes: Streamline product development by leveraging internal and external resources effectively.
• Use External Resources: Identify and leverage external sources to complement internal experience and expertise.
• Innovate Solutions: Develop products swiftly, ensuring high quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and market trends, training your team on relevant skills.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Sales: Work closely with these teams to develop market-relevant products and systems.
• Incorporate Customer Feedback: Gather and integrate customer requirements into the R&D processes.
• Promote Best Practices: Adhere to and promote best practices for R&D, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality.
• Ensure Accurate Documentation: Define and implement documentation requirements, including BOMs, software, drawings, and design elements.

Qualifications

• Proactive and Results-Driven: Must be proactive and driven to achieve results, taking the initiative to lead the R&D team effectively.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 7 years in leading design and development within electronics product manufacturing organizations.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics or an equivalent field.
• Comprehensive Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the entire electronic product development cycle, including embedded firmware, hardware, power electronics, front-end and application software development, mechanical and PCB design.
• Embedded Design Experience: At least 5 years of direct experience in embedded design.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience overseeing or closely interacting with application software developers, power supply developers, and mechanical developers.
• Networking Abilities: Capability to develop and utilize networks to augment internal R&D resources with external expertise.
