Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top engineering talent.
Define team objectives, best engineering practices, policies, and skill competencies.
Ensure delivered solutions conform to agreed-upon principles and best practices, aligning with Chapter Area and Tribe Quarterly Business Review (QBR) strategic objectives.
Establish, enhance, and execute the engineering vision for internal customers.
Oversee recruitment, performance assessments, personal development of team members, and allocation of staffing needs across tribes and squads. Drive team member growth through continuous learning and development opportunities.
Contribute to shaping the team s vision and guide work methodologies. Ideal Candidate Profile:
Skilled in one or more relevant technologies to effectively support and mentor full stack engineers. It would be beneficial to be experienced in various areas of technology, with deep expertise in at least one (e.g., strong API experience with a solid understanding of web principles, or advanced JavaScript skills for frontend development).
Proven experience in stakeholder management and effective communication with engineers, customers, and other stakeholders.
Ability to deliver strategic solutions that enhance systems, optimize operations, and drive growth.
Comfortable contributing to strategy and planning at both chapter and tribe level
Technical / Professional Skills:
1. Strong analytical, creative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
2. Experience in managing teams working on complex products / solutions and capability development projects.
3. Experience in supporting the architecting of solutions for optimal integration solutions or web products and other digital solutions
4. Strong understanding of IT risk, information security fundamentals, defense-in-depth practices, IT risk assessment fundamentals and risk management practices
5. Competent in Agile methodologies.
6. Understanding of DevOps practices, tools and cloud technologies
