Corporate Legal Manager

Role Overview
The role requires a seasoned professional with experience in corporate law, contracts management, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Advisory
Provide expert legal advice on corporate matters, transactions, and business operations.
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs, and other legal documents.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including corporate, labor, data protection, and intellectual property laws.

2. Risk Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations and transactions.
Develop and implement policies to ensure adherence to legal standards and minimize liability exposure.

3. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
Monitor changes in laws and regulations impacting the organization.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and internal policies.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and oversee audits as required.

4. Litigation Management
Oversee and manage disputes, arbitrations, and litigations involving the company.
Coordinate with external counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings, if required.

5. Contract and Document Management
Establish a streamlined process for drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts and agreements.
Maintain a database of contracts and other key legal documents for easy reference.

Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree (LLM) or equivalent is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in a mid-sized or large organization.

Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of corporate laws, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in legal research tools and contract management systems.

Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Preferred Attributes
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations (e.g., RBI Guidelines, IT, and finance).
A proven track record of successful litigation and arbitration management.
