About the Role:
As a Software Development Engineer II (SDE 2), you will take ownership of key components of our backend systems, leveraging Python, Django, Celery, AWS, EC2, and PostgreSQL. You will work closely with senior engineers to design, build, and optimize scalable solutions that meet our business needs. You will also mentor junior engineers and help improve overall team efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend systems using Python and Django.
• Implement background task processing and scheduling using Celery.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure and deploy scalable applications on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and other stakeholders to integrate APIs.
• Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and system failures.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development with Python and Django.
• Solid experience with Celery for asynchronous task processing.
• Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.).
• Expertise in PostgreSQL, including schema design, optimization, and query tuning.
• Experience building and deploying RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with version control tools like Git.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and best development practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
