Surveyor

Role & responsibilities :

• Conduct land surveys using a variety of equipment, including total stations, GPS, and levels.
• Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, including field notes, maps, and reports.
• Analyze survey data and create topographical, boundary, and site surveys.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to provide survey information needed for planning and design.
• Interpret and apply legal property descriptions and land use regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to surveying and land use.
• Present survey findings to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Perform calculations for elevations, angles, distances, and areas as required.
• Assist in resolving boundary disputes and prepare legal documents as necessary.
• Stay updated on the latest surveying technologies, techniques, and industry trends.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Bachelors degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid [State/Local] surveying license (LS or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Surveyor, with a strong understanding of surveying principles and practices.
• Proficient in the use of surveying tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS applications).
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
