Piled Raft Foundation Structural Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop foundation solutions that align with project objectives.
• Provide technical input during project planning and budgeting phases.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, reports, and documentation for submission to clients and regulatory authorities.

• Interpret soil investigation reports to understand site-specific conditions.
• Recommend and oversee on-site tests such as pile load tests to verify design assumptions.
• Conduct inspections during foundation construction to ensure adherence to design specifications.

• Ensure designs comply with relevant international and local building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Stay updated with advancements in piled raft design and construction techniques.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Masters degree in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering is preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in foundation design, specifically piled raft systems.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as PLAXIS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of soil-structure interaction principles.
• Knowledge of construction practices and materials related to deep foundations.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as Eurocode, ACI, or BS standards.
