Desired Candidates

MBBS degree with MD or DNB in Pathology or DCP from reputed college/Institutes.

Additional qualification - Management course from Premium Institute.

Prefered 3+ years of experienced in Laboratory Operations management.

Based Location - Hyderabad

Primary Role

1. Monitoring of the medical laboratory services of the main laboratory and all the satellite centers of VDC and Sample Collection centres as per the laid down policies and procedures. Satellite centers (including out station centers) are monitored through on-site visits at periodic intervals about once in 4-6 weeks in coordination with Zonal Operations and Director of Laboratory.

2. Managing Technical Operations with respect to Equipment Management, Inventory Management, Man Management, TAT Management and Complaints Management.

3. Responsible for a timely and an accurate report to the patient.

4. Responsible for Managing operations during setting up of new Processing units.

5. Responsible for Technical Operations in Phlebotomy Services.

6. Provide advice to those requesting information about the choice of tests and the use of the laboratory services and the interpretation of the laboratory data.

7. Serve as a coordinator of the medical staff for VDC Laboratories in the relevant specialization. 8. Implement and monitor standards of the established QMS of the medical laboratory services at the satellite labs defined.

9. In coordination with the Zonal Operations and Lab Director monitor the work performed in various sections as per the laid down procedures such that reliable test results are being generated.

10. Participate in educational programs for the medical and laboratory staff and participate in other educational programs of the institution.

11. Coordinate with the various sections to address the complaints, requests or suggestions from users of laboratory services.

12. Coordinate with Zonal Operations and Director Laboratory to ensure that essential services are available during emergency situations or other conditions when laboratory services are limited or unavailable.

Technical Hematology & Clinical Pathology (Any other relevant specialty)

1. Ensure the provision of clinical advice with respect to the choice of examinations, use of the service and interpretation of examination results in coordination with the consultants in technical sections.

2. Participation in all verifications and approval of new test methods/equipment performance verifications as per the procedures to determine the reliability of the procedures to meet the needs of the user.

3. To review report formats with HODs of the technical sections.

Reporting:

1. To authorize report results of Hematology, Immunohematology and Clinical Pathology or the relevant specialty (subjected to NABL permission for Authorized signatory) when there is shortage of authorized signatories in the sections of VDC Hyderabad Laboratories.

Authorities and responsibilities:

1. Access patient data concerned to the department and information related to request and pending status.

2. Access to process flow/audit process in LIMS including statistics.

Safety:

1. Monitor the compliance to safe and good laboratory practices and guidelines of applicable regulations.

2. Monitor the compliance to standard and universal precautions including use of PPE and Biomedical Waste management guidelines.
