Role Overview:
We are looking for a Procurement specialist to be part of the Founder's Office. The role is perfect for someone passionate about negotiations, on- ground operations, meticulous data handling, and driving process improvements. You'll manage end- to- end vendor payments, conduct stock audits, and optimize warehouse and financial operations.
This position offers exposure to multiple facets of procurement, asset management, and much more, with an opportunity to make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Audits & Asset Management:
- Conduct regular warehouse stock audits, ensuring inventory records are accurate.
- Oversee asset tagging and assignment, identifying gaps in tracking processes and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to streamline asset management and stock reconciliation.
Purchase- to- Payables Process:
- Manage the end- to- end procurement and vendor payment cycle as per SOPs.
- Record vendor invoices, verify goods receipt, and process payments after proper validation.
- Negotiate with vendors to optimize procurement costs.
- Reconcile vendor payments with invoices and GST credits, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.).
- Identify inefficiencies in processes and suggest actionable improvements.
Demand Planning and Forecasting:
- Utilize demand forecasting techniques to predict inventory needs, align procurement with business objectives, and optimize inventory levels to prevent overstock or stockouts.
- Collaborate with the finance and operations teams on reconciliations, reporting, and audits by providing accurate data on stock movement, demand trends, and fulfilment rates.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Qualification: BTech from tier- 1 colleges or a Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience: 1- 2 years in inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with a sharp eye for discrepancies and quick problem resolution.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Prior experience in e- commerce industry is a plus.
