Senior Unity Developer

Job Summary:

Shadowcast Group Spatial Computing and Visual Arts Studio specialising in Computer Vision, AR/ MR/ VR, and large-scale Metaverse Applications.

We are a fast-growing team working on some of the biggest Fitness, Film, Entertainment, Metaverse, and Retail Brands in the world.

Job Duties:

• Architecture Planning: Design and oversee the architecture of Unity projects, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Multiplayer Development: Development of multiplayer features using frameworks like Photon, Mirror, or dedicated server models.
• Optimization: Implement performance optimizations, focusing on memory management, frame rates, and load times for various platforms.
• Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain asset pipelines, including tools and scripts for importing and processing assets.
• Game Mechanics Development: Design and implement game mechanics, gameplay systems, and interactive features, level design, and asset integration.
• Cross-Platform: Ensure applications function seamlessly across multiple platforms, including mobile, PC, and VR.
• OOP & SOLID Principles: Apply and advocate for Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and solid principles in code development and project architecture.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical leadership.
• Git: Proficient in Git with expertise in collaborative workflows, conflict resolution, and managing version control in large-scale projects.
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of Unity 3D, and VR/AR development including experience with scripting, textures, animation, UI implementation, and Multiplayer.
• Strong understanding of C# & Object Oriented Programming Concepts.
• Familiarity with level design, architectural patterns and planning.
• Experience with game physics and particle systems.
• Experience with 2D, 2.5D, and 3D mobile, console, and VR game/app development
• Good knowledge of 3D Math and Physics in general.
