Google Cloud Platform Administrator (7-10 yrs)

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and optimizing GCP infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities :

- Design, deploy, and maintain GCP infrastructure to support our company's operations relating to Retail Search and projects.

- Implement and manage GCP services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Big Query, and Dataflow.

- Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and security compliance using GCP monitoring and logging tools.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GCP services, network connectivity, and application performance.

- Implement and enforce security best practices including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance policies.

- Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for GCP environment and automate deployment processes.

- Conduct regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and system maintenance activities.

- Stay updated with the latest GCP features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve our cloud infrastructure.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 7-8 years of experience as a GCP Administrator or similar role, with a proven track record of managing complex cloud environments.

- Strong knowledge of GCP services, networking concepts, and security principles.

- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation tasks.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- GCP certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Associate Cloud Engineer) is a plus.
