The main task will be to manage and proactively contribute to key Asset Management responsibilities in the area of capacity planning and optimization for MEO and GEO (including third party assets) fleet. This entails in-depth knowledge of each customer s technical and commercial requirements as well as the technical characteristics and capabilities of SES assets and Product Offering to identify the best alternate scenarios to facilitate sales deals that may not otherwise be possible due to lack of suitable resources. This role focuses on the optimization of the satellites and gateway resources based on the commercial opportunities and products characteristics. The planning approach shall include a broad perspective within the context of GEO/MEO multi-orbit planning landscape.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Management of day-to-day activities for satellite and gateway resources of GEO on fleet, GEO off fleet (third party assets), and MEO fleet through Capacity Planning and Optimization tool and any other interim planning tools within the over-arching SES network architecture in both short- and long-term timeframes.
This includes:
optimization of the capacity for the assigned satellites (on fleet and off fleet) to enable sales to meet their revenue targets
advise on resources availability for assigned satellites and approve resources
proactive analysis of regrooming options and reconfiguration of satellites, including transition of off fleet services into on fleet to reduce cost of third-party assets
proactive approach to resolving any identified potential contention for assigned satellites to determine if there are alternative SES fleet re- sources that can meet the needs of all involved customers to maximize SES s revenue. Escalate contention and drive the resolution
contribution to planning for the integration of new assets to facilitate high utilization rate
proactively contribute to the development of customer solutions with complex MEO and GEO resources assignment issues (including identifying options for third party assets), liaising and communicating with relevant internal stakeholders
Continued development of Asset Management processes for allocating, managing, and reporting capacity resources within overall Asset Management planning perspective:
