Service Engineer/ Sr Technician/ Technician

Maintenance and Repairs:

1. Hands on experience in scheduled maintenance overhaul, Troubleshhoting, Health Check Up of high speed diesel engines. Experience in Caterpillar engine Service would be an advantage.

2. Proficiency in special tools usage.

3. Basic knowledge of mechanical faults troubleshooting and diagnostic.

4. Able to perform all standard tests & measurement on mechanical engine parts. Should have through understanding of all calibration tools(Micrometer, Bore Gauge, telescopic Gauge, Vernieer Caliper et.).

5. Ability to read, understand and interpret all technical literature.

6. Must be capable of working with little or no supervision.

7. Perform all duties and responsibilities within time standards allowed.

Technical Expertise:

1. Conduct inspections and performance tests using specialized diagnostic tools to identify faults or potential issues.

2. Ensure engines comply with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of diesel engine technologies and service manuals.

Field Operations:

1. Provide on-site support to customers for breakdowns and emergencies.

2. Ensure rapid response and resolution to minimize downtime for clients' operations.

3. Prepare and maintain records of service visits, including detailed work reports.

Inventory and Spare Parts Management:

1. Identify and prepare the required spare parts for repairs and maintenance.

2. Maintain an inventory of tools and components necessary for on-site and workshop operations.

Compliance and Safety:

1. Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations during maintenance activities.

2. Ensure all work is conducted following industry and company standards.

3. Keep maintenance area in a clean and orderly condition, with all tools and equipments in good working order.

Reporting and Documentation:

1. Prepare detailed service reports and provide feedback on recurring issues or improvements.

2. Maintain accurate documentation of all completed jobs, including checklists and test results.

Collaboration and Training:

1. Work closely with team members and share technical knowledge.

2. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on engine advancements.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 3-5 years experience in scheduled maintenance, Troubleshooting, Health Chek up, Component Rebuild etc of High speed Diesel engines. Experience in Caterpillar engine and knowledge on Caterpillar ET and SIS 2.0 would be an adavantage.
