Senior Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a professional DBA with the technical skills including software updates, security patching, performance analysis, build of new environments, support for projects, monitoring and alerting, and the overall health of the platform.
• Looking for Strong Oracle Senior DBA with automation skills, innovative mindset and/or some cloud, agile, Database DevOps.
• The position manages backup and recovery, security, performance tuning and optimization across multiple database management systems.
• The DBA troubleshoots and resolves database related issues, participates in the design and implementation of database environments to meet the needs of the organization.
• The position works closely with Application Analysts, System Administrators, and others to ensure database integrity and availability.

Capabilities & Requirements:

• Experience in creating and managing 19c databases on Oracle Cloud infrastructure.
  • Must have working experience in MongoDB, MySQL. Certified MySQL, Mongo DB DBA is a PLUS
  • Experience conducting database maintenance, performance tuning and optimization such as tuning SQL principles and methods.
  • Deep knowledge of database architecture, design principals and procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolving database related issues.
  • Successful track record of installing, configuring, and applying updates to RDBMs.
  • DBA focusing on Oracle Database on a Unix/Linux platform, including version 19c.
  • Strong skills in Data Guard and RAC technologies.
  • Experience should include monitoring and alerting, capacity planning, performance tuning, storage management, RMAN backup and recovery, and managing schemas.
  • Ensure 24x7 database availability.
  • Ensure database recoverability with thorough knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery scenarios. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
  • Must have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators.
  • Must be able to work independently on issues and prepare RCA documents.
