Job Description

RPA Senior Developer - Support Responsibilities: Technical Partner and collaborate with Operations experts and IT teams across the organization deliver robotic process automation solutions in a dynamic environment. Analyze and review business requirements and process documentations in detail. Design implementable technical solutions and build process automation using UiPath RPA platform. Mimic human actions to interact with desktop applications, websites, databases, office documents, etc. Monitor robot status, troubleshoot and diagnose run-time automation issues, develop error handling mechanisms to stabilize the robot. Timely respond to user queries. Maintain and enhance existing RPA solutions, continuously improve code quality, increase robot efficiency by utilizing latest/advanced features. Build robots by adopting the required coding standards. Deploy robots by following the standard change management process. Keep abreast of the latest RPA technology and skills, such as new UiPath features, AI integration into RPA, etc., and adopt in RPA project development. Knowledge of Document Understanding, Action center etc. Working collaboratively with operational and technical teams to deliver projects by assigned deadlines. Documenting process workflows, creating technical designs, release notes, and other project documentation to support development, security, operations, and maintenance of a project. Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios prior to launching. Participating in QA testing activities, including testing at the task and end-to-end process levels, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Communicating to colleagues or customers during the product development to make sure it fits design and progress is communicated at all times. Deploying projects successfully and problem-solving issues that arise in day-to-day running of automation processes and provide timely responses and solutions as required. Support Monitoring and Incident Management Monitor Bots in Production: Continuously monitor RPA bots in a live production environment to ensure that they are functioning correctly and efficiently. Identify and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve incidents such as bot failures, performance issues, or data discrepancies. Incident Logging and Escalation: Record issues in a ticketing system (e.g. JIRA) and escalate them to development teams when necessary. Maintenance and Optimization Bot Health Checks: Regularly perform health checks on bots to ensure they are running optimally. System Updates and Patches: Ensure that the underlying systems (e.g., Orchestrator, bots, machines) are updated with the latest patches and releases. Bot Performance Tuning: Optimize bots for better performance, addressing issues like speed, efficiency, and resource consumption. Process Refinement: Provide feedback to RPA developers regarding possible improvements or enhancements to processes being automated. Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis Bot Error Diagnosis: Investigate bot failures or errors, analyze logs, and identify the root cause of issues. Debugging: Work closely with RPA developers to debug bots and resolve technical issues that affect their functioning. Error Logging: Analyze error logs and metrics to understand bot behavior and performance. Change and Release Management Deploy Bot Updates: Assist with deploying updates or patches to bots and processes in production environments. Version Control: Maintain proper version control and ensure that new versions of bots are tested and rolled out smoothly. Release Planning: Support in planning and executing bot releases and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Documentation and Reporting Documentation of Processes: Maintain up-to-date documentation for bot workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Performance Reports: Generate and distribute periodic reports on bot performance, uptime, and issue resolution metrics. Knowledge Base Maintenance: Develop and maintain a knowledge base for frequently encountered issues and their solutions. Collaboration with Development and Business Teams Collaboration with RPA Developers: Work closely with RPA developers to understand bot design and assist in implementing changes or enhancements. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with business users to understand the status of automated processes and gather feedback for continuous improvement. Training and Support: Provide training to business users or other support team members on how to monitor and manage bots. User Support and Service Requests Bot User Support: Act as the first point of contact for end-users encountering issues with bots. Troubleshooting User Issues: Assist users in troubleshooting issues, providing solutions or escalating them to appropriate teams. User Requests: Manage and prioritize service requests for minor adjustments or new requirements related to bots. Security and Compliance Ensure Security Compliance: Ensure that bots and automation processes comply with security standards and organizational policies. Audit and Compliance: Assist in auditing bot activity to meet regulatory compliance and reporting requirements. Access Management: Manage access to the RPA environment, ensuring that only authorized personnel have the appropriate permissions. Continuous Improvement Identify Automation Bottlenecks: Proactively identify areas for process optimization and suggest improvements. Stay Updated on RPA Trends: Stay informed about new RPA tools, technologies, and best practices to recommend potential improvements in the automation environment. Automation Monitoring Tools: Use RPA monitoring and analytics tools to identify opportunities for enhancing bot efficiency and reducing failure rates. Key Skills and Competencies Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with RPA platforms like UiPath, Orchestrator & Document Understanding etc. Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell) for troubleshooting and automation tasks. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve bot failures and performance issues. Tools and Technologies RPA Platforms: UiPath Orchestration Tools: UiPath Orchestrator. Monitoring and Analytics: Monitoring tools integrated into RPA platform Ticketing Systems: Jira Version Control: BitBucket Interpersonal Skills Is a strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources Has good organizational skills, to schedule processes, monitor resources, and log issues Is creative out of the box thinker who likes to be challenged. Has good communication skills, written and verbal Has Superior listening skills and is customer service oriented. Pays attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Perform these functions with minimal supervision Education and Experience Level 7+ year experience in UiPath, familiar with common types of automations: Excel, website, database, restful API, CITRIX. Experience in ReFramework. Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze requirements and come up with potential solutions in a timely manner. Excellent, proactive problem solver, strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex requirements and define technical/functional advanced solutions. Excellent communication skills in both written & verbal English (and have worked in global/multicultural environment). Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders as part of the RPA delivery cycle. Prior functional experience in SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile development methodologies including requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support and maintenance Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems Ability to understand and create business process workflow diagrams or procedural documentation Exposure to performance measurement and continuous improvement methodologies like Lean or Six-Sigma, preferred
