Job Description

Lead DevOps best practices, automate, and optimizing critical deployments in Azure OCI Cloud Platforms, leveraging configuration management, CI/CD and DevOps processes
Drive the ways of working standardization and operation playbooks
Responsible for the 99.99 uptime of the Build Ship platforms.
Present possible updates, recommendations, strategic opportunities to local US leadership.
Develop relationships with local business leaders.
Strong desire to simplify the developers debug experience by adopting and on boarding the right tools across the enterprise.
Develop an understanding of Gaps CI/CD Pipelines to automate and enhance SDLC
Participate in the design of new or changing CI/CD pipelines
Build, operationalize, and maintain CI/CD solutions for our technology customers
Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for the assigned applications, functional areas or projects
Develop tools/services to enable more efficient/effective response to current build deployment processes
Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise
Build, maintain, and support enterprise production systems with a business mindset, keeping an eye towards simplicity, reliability, maintainability, scalability, extensibility and performance
Understand and deliver on key business objective: Deliver a seamless CI/CD solution on cloud platforms.
Drive resolution of operational and production issues in a timely manner.
Support internal customers in adopting CI/CD automation (especially regarding Kubernetes) and adoption of Infrastructure as Code
Work with the team to develop features and improvements targeting cloud platform automation (e.g., cost optimization, integrations, automation enhancements, proof-of-concept/prototype work)
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation through RCA for recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems

Who You Are

Minimum 5 years experience in Engineering Leadership position, overall 12+ years of work experience.
Hands on experience and managing operations of large-scale internet-centric production environments for application or infrastructure services serving tens to millions of end users.
Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to innovate and operate outside the comfort zone of established methods and procedures
Demonstrated ability to gain immediate credibility at all levels both inside and outside the organization and develop lasting, productive and collaborative relationships
Excellent communication and influencing skills including the ability to simplify key messages, present compelling stories and promote technical and personal credibility with internal and external executives, and both technical and non-technical audiences
Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise in order to mentor team members.
Lead the design and to the modernization of our build systems, balancing current needs with future goals.
Help develop and promote best practices for source control management, build processes, and deployment pipelines across the organization.
Asses new CI/CD and Cloud technologies and their potential fit within our current ecosystem.
Support the teams technical growth through code reviews, architecture discussions, and knowledge sharing.
Drive the development of tools to streamline developer workflows, in collaboration with other teams.
Work with the Schedule and Observe teams to align Build Ship teams efforts with broader goals.
Participate in an on-call rotation for our build and Ship systems.
Retail/Ecommerce industry experience preferred
Good Experience in CI/CD Tools/Orchestrators (Artifactory, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub Actions, Chef, Sonar, Docker, Kubernetes, HashiCorp Vault)
Experience in the following technologies: Ruby, Groovy, Bash, Gradle, ANT, Python, PowerShell
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code patterns tools (e.g. ARM, Terraform, GitOps)
Proficiency with Multi cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, OCI)
Working on at least one Kubernetes cloud offering (AKS/GKE) or on-prem Kubernetes (native Kubernetes)
Experience with Unix platforms, system administration skills in UNIX
Appreciation and preference for open-source software proficient with Configuration management tools, and in developing CI/CD pipelines
Ability to use observability tools to look at logs and metrics to diagnose issues within that system. We use Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Experience in scaling infrastructure to support high-throughput data-intensive applications
Experience working on projects following Agile methodologies
Youre proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and comfortable working across different types of languages as needed.
Working knowledge of Collaboration tools like Slack, JIRA and Confluence.
