Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake DB (5-6 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions for a key business application - a tracking system for deals and deal structures.

This is a new development project, offering exciting opportunities to contribute to a cutting-edge solution.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop robust data models within the Snowflake data warehouse.

- Transform and prepare data for consumption by downstream applications (Tableau).

- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the data pipeline.

- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python and other relevant tools.

- Implement data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

- Leverage AWS services (S3, etc.) for data storage and processing.

- Manage data access and security within the Snowflake environment.

- Implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms.

- Ensure compliance with data governance and security regulations.

- Diagnose and resolve data quality issues and data pipeline failures.

- Troubleshoot data integration challenges and ensure data accuracy.

- Proactively identify and address potential data issues.

- Collaborate effectively with data analysts, business users, and other stakeholders.

- Communicate technical concepts and project progress clearly and concisely.

Qualifications :

Experience : 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related fields.

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

(OR) 4+ years of relevant work experience in addition to the required work experience.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Python is essential.

- Strong experience with Snowflake data warehousing.

- Expertise in designing and implementing data models.

- Experience with AWS services (S3, etc.) and cloud data warehousing concepts.

- Experience with data pipeline development and orchestration tools (e.g, Airflow).

- Experience with data quality assessment and improvement techniques.

- Proficiency in Alteryx is a strong plus.
