Head - Public Relation & Corporate Communications (12-18 yrs)

The PR & Communication Head is a strategic leader responsible for devising and executing comprehensive communication strategies to bolster the organization's reputation and advance its objectives. Senior professional with at least 12 - 15 years of experience in overseeing media, planning, and internal communications, preferably someone who has dealt with turmoil. Candidate should have experience of shaping brands, handling media relations, and familiarity with journalists. Priority is given to individuals from MNCs, large Indian conglomerates, or family-run businesses. Candidate shall be covering both digital and offline businesses. Key responsibilities include crafting targeted messaging, fostering media relationships, managing crises effectively, ensuring internal alignment, and measuring performance. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in communications or related field, possesses extensive experience in PR or corporate communications roles, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and exhibits exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. This position requires a strategic thinker capable of navigating complex challenges while upholding the organization's integrity and values.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute PR and communications strategies to generate positive media coverage, build brand awareness, and enhance brand reputation.

2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts, influencers, and industry stakeholders to secure media placements and opportunities.

3. Write press releases, media pitches, and other communications materials to effectively communicate key messages and story angles to media outlets.

4. Monitor media coverage and social media mentions to track brand sentiment, identify potential issues, and respond to media inquiries.

5. Manage internal communications, including employee newsletters, announcements, and intranet content, to keep employees informed and engaged.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align PR and communications initiatives with marketing objectives and brand messaging.
