Key Responsibilities:

1. Azure Cloud Maintenance and Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day operational health and performance of Azure infrastructure and services.

• Manage system updates, patching, and backups while minimizing service disruption.

• Monitor system performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other tools.

2. Incident and Problem Management

• Act as the primary point of escalation for Azure-related operational issues.

• Perform root cause analysis on critical incidents and implement long-term corrective actions.

• Develop and execute incident response and disaster recovery procedures.

3. Infrastructure Optimization

• Continuously evaluate and optimize Azure resources for cost-effectiveness and scalability.

• Implement Azure Reserved Instances, auto-scaling configurations, and other cost-saving measures.

• Analyze telemetry and usage data to identify and address bottlenecks proactively.

4. Automation and DevOps

• Automate operational tasks using tools like Azure DevOps, ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.

• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support application and infrastructure deployments.

• Leverage Azure Automation and Runbooks to simplify routine maintenance tasks.

5. Security and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards by implementing Azure Security best practices.

• Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies using Azure Active Directory.

• Conduct security audits and implement threat protection tools such as Azure Security Center and Sentinel.

6. Collaboration and Documentation

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support existing and new projects.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in Azure Cloud infrastructure and operations management.

• Demonstrated expertise in incident management, system reliability, and performance optimization.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficient with Azure services such as Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure SQL, AKS, and Storage.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM, Terraform, or Bicep.

• Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.

• Experience with multi-cloud environments.

• Knowledge of container orchestration (AKS, Docker).
