About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Insurtech Developer to join our growing team in Mumbai. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining innovative software solutions within the insurance technology domain. You will be part of a dynamic team, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality and impactful products.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable back-end applications using Laravel/PHP.

- Implement complex business logic using object-oriented programming principles and best practices.

- Develop and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with various systems.

- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.

- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth data integration and user experience.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Troubleshoot and debug application issues effectively.

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in PHP, Laravel, and related technologies.

- Actively contribute to improving development processes and team efficiency.

- Adhere to coding standards and best practices.

Qualifications :

- 1+ years of professional experience in developing web applications using Laravel/PHP.

- Strong understanding of PHP fundamentals, object-oriented programming principles, and design patterns.

- Proficiency in MySQL or other relevant databases.

- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.

- Working knowledge of version control systems like Git.

- Experience with API development and consumption (RESTful APIs preferred).

- Familiarity with API documentation tools/frameworks such as Postman.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- A passion for learning new technologies and a proactive approach to professional development.

Bonus Points :

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit).
