Python Developer Lead

Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using Python and Django framework. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Database Design: Design and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and managing large datasets.
• Architecture & Performance: Build and optimize robust, secure, and high-performance architectures and APIs. Ensure the scalability of applications under heavy load.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers.
• Code Review & Mentorship: Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers. Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, debug performance bottlenecks, and implement efficient solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating best practices into the development process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional experience in Python/Django development.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including database schema design, query optimization, and working with large datasets.
• Solid understanding of web application development and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) and MVC architecture.
• Familiarity with Python web frameworks, especially Django.
• Expertise in creating and managing relational databases and advanced SQL queries.
• Proficiency in Git for version control and experience with agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like pytest or Django's test framework.
• Ability to write efficient, clean, and maintainable code.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
