Quantity Surveyor

Role & responsibilities

• prepare Cost Estimations & Perform Quantity take offs
• Develop and prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather project-specific information for accurate estimations
• Establish and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and monitoring budget variances
• Regularly update project budgets to reflect changes and deviations from the initial estimates
• Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements of project components
• Verify the accuracy of quantities provided by contractors and subcontractors
• Implement cost control procedures and processes to manage project expenditures
• Monitor project costs and cash flow, identifying potential cost overruns or savings opportunities
• Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate and select subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain thorough documentation of all cost-related activities and decisions
• Submitting payment claims and follow up contractual obligations.
• Traveling from the office to various sites as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
• 2- 4 years of experience in Quantity Surveying (QS) with expertise in cost control, cost estimation, QS, quantity estimation, and rate analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software for designing and drafting purposes.
