SAP ABAP Developer - HANA Module (4-8 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with experience in HANA technologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SAP ABAP development, along with expertise in HANA-specific enhancements, OData, CDS Views, IDocs, and RICEF objects. Experience in Smart Forms and Adobe Forms development is also required.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, including classical reports, ALV reports, module pool programming, and enhancements.

2. Work on HANA-related projects, leveraging HANA-specific features such as CDS Views and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures).

3. Develop and expose OData services for integration with SAP Fiori applications and other external systems.

4. Design and implement CDS Views for optimized data modeling and performance.

5. Work with IDocs for data exchange between SAP and external systems.

6. Handle RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) development.

7. Develop and modify Smart Forms and Adobe Forms based on business requirements.

8. Create and manage database tables as per project requirements.

9. Collaborate with functional teams and business users to understand and translate requirements into technical solutions.

10. Perform unit testing and support integration testing efforts.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Total SAP ABAP Experience : Minimum 4-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.

- HANA Experience : Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working with SAP HANA.

- Recent HANA Projects : Experience in at least one recent project using HANA technologies.

- Strong expertise in OData service creation and integration.

- Experience with CDS Views and HANA-specific optimizations.

- Hands-on experience with IDocs, including creation, processing, and troubleshooting.

- Comprehensive knowledge of RICEF objects.

- Understanding of the differences between Smart Forms and Adobe Forms, along with practical implementation experience.

- Experience in custom table creation and management within SAP.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP certification in ABAP or HANA-related areas.

- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.

- Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud integrations.

- Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in SAP development.
