Odoo Developer (3-6 yrs)

Role Description :

- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Odoo Developer to join our team in Mumbai.

- You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our Odoo ERP system, working closely with an Odoo consultant team, and taking ownership of advanced customizations, integrations, and optimizations.

- You will also lead a small team of developers, providing mentorship and ensuring best practices are followed.

Responsibilities :

Project and Team Management :

- Oversee end-to-end Odoo implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

- Coordinate with diverse stakeholders (internal departments, external consultants) to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Lead and mentor a small team of Odoo developers, fostering a culture of best practices in coding, development, and implementation.

- Effectively monitor project timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and manage project budgets.

- Regularly and proactively communicate project progress, potential challenges, and proposed solutions to stakeholders.

Development and Integration :

- Analyze complex business requirements and design robust and scalable technical solutions within the Odoo framework.

- Design, develop, and customize Odoo modules, including both standard and custom modules, to meet project-specific needs.

- Build and maintain seamless integrations between Odoo and third-party systems using APIs (REST, SOAP), web services, and other integration methods.

- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure smooth system performance and stability.

- Implement and enforce best practices in Odoo development, including coding standards, testing methodologies, and deployment procedures.

Technical Skills :

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Odoo development and customization, specializing in the latest Odoo versions (Odoo 14/15/16 preferred).

- Strong proficiency in Python programming, particularly within the Odoo framework.

- Deep understanding of Odoo's architecture, including the ORM, models, views, controllers, and QWeb templating engine.

- Expertise in developing and customizing Odoo modules, including creating custom modules from scratch.

- Solid experience with Odoo APIs (REST, SOAP) and various integration techniques (e.g , web services, XML/JSON data exchange).

- Proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) for customizing Odoo's user interface.

- Experience with PostgreSQL database administration and optimization, as it pertains to Odoo performance.

- Familiarity with Linux server administration and deployment of Odoo instances.

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Knowledge of Odoo deployment best practices, including setting up development, staging, and production environments.

- Experience with Odoo's testing framework (unit tests, integration tests).

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Odoo's reporting tools and developing custom reports.

- Knowledge of Odoo's eCommerce functionalities.

- Familiarity with other ERP systems and integration methodologies.

- Experience with project management tools (e.g , Jira, Asana).

- Odoo certification is a plus
