SAP ABAP Developer

Overview:

We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with hands-on experience in OData and Fiori technologies to join our SAP development team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working on SAP projects, with a strong foundation in ABAP programming and proficiency in developing OData services and Fiori applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting SAP solutions that enhance business processes.

The purpose:

• Enhance user experience: You'll design and develop intuitive Fiori applications that make our SAP systems a joy to use.
• Drive efficiency and performance: You'll optimize ABAP code and ensure seamless integration of various SAP components to maximize system performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP ABAP Development:

• Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, forms, and user exits.
• Work on SAP enhancements and modifications in various SAP modules (SD, MM, FI, etc.).
• Optimize ABAP code for performance improvements and troubleshooting issues.
• Ensure code quality and follow best practices for ABAP development.

2. OData Service Development:

• Develop and deploy OData services using SAP Gateway and integrate them with SAP Fiori applications.
• Design and implement OData models and operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OData services.

3. Fiori Application Development:

• Design and develop custom Fiori applications using SAP Fiori/UI5 technology.
• Work with Fiori elements to enhance and deploy modern user interfaces.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to gather requirements and implement user-friendly solutions.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for deployed Fiori apps.

4. Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of ABAP, OData, and Fiori components.
• Participate in code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers.
• Provide post-deployment support and resolve production issues related to SAP solutions.

Skills:

Technical Skills:

• ABAP: Strong experience in ABAP development, including custom reports, forms, enhancements, and performance tuning.
• OData: Proficiency in creating and consuming OData services using SAP Gateway.
• SAP Fiori/UI5: Hands-on experience in developing Fiori apps with SAP UI5 and Fiori elements.
• SAP NetWeaver Gateway: Experience in configuration and implementation of SAP Gateway for OData services.
• Web Technologies: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON for Fiori/UI5 development.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Good communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and exposure to OData and Fiori technologies.
• Familiarity with the SAP S/4HANA environment is a plus / added advantage.

Education:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification in ABAP, Fiori, or related technologies (not mandatory).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
