SAP ABAP Consultant (4-5 yrs)

Role Description :

This is a full-time on-site Sap Advanced Business Application Programming Consultant (4+ Years) role located in Gurugram. The consultant will be responsible for tasks such as creating ALV Reports, working with User Exits, utilizing BAPI and IDoc, OData, as well as implementing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement ABAP solutions, including reports (ALV), enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Points), forms (Smart Forms, Adobe Forms), interfaces (BAPIs, IDocs), and OData services.

- Apply object-oriented programming principles in ABAP development to create modular, reusable, and maintainable code.

- Utilize SAP HANA capabilities, including Core Data Services (CDS) views and AMDP procedures, for efficient data retrieval and processing.

- Develop and maintain integrations between SAP systems and other applications using BAPIs, IDocs, and other integration technologies.

- Create and optimize ALV reports to provide users with accurate and timely information.

- Design and develop interactive forms using Smart Forms and Adobe Forms to support business processes.

- Implement enhancements using User Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Points to extend standard SAP functionality.

- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to ABAP development.

- Work closely with business users, functional consultants, and other technical team members to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.

- Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure quality and adherence to requirements.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.

- Proven experience in SAP enhancement mechanisms (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Points).

- Strong experience in SAP form development (Smart Forms, Adobe Forms).

- Proficiency in ALV reporting and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in ABAP.

- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA (CDS views, AMDP procedures).

- Solid understanding of IDocs and BAPIs for integration.

- Strong knowledge of ABAP fundamentals, including Data Dictionary, Report Programming, Module Pool Programming, Interfaces.

- Experience with RIWCEF components is highly desirable.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills : Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development. Knowledge of SAP workflow. Experience with Agile development methodologies. SAP certifications.
