Mobile Test Engineer

Responsibilities and Role :

1. Perform thorough testing of mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms, including functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing.

2. Ensure that apps meet quality standards and perform as expected on various devices and OS versions.

3. Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for mobile applications.

4. Focus on creating reusable, maintainable scripts using Selenium and other relevant frameworks and tools, ensuring coverage for complex test scenarios.

5. Conduct manual tests when necessary, providing detailed bug reports and feedback to developers and product teams. Focus on edge cases, user experience, and areas not covered by automation.

6. Log detailed and clear defect reports using JIRA or similar tools. Work closely with development teams to track defects to resolution.

7. Collaborate with mobile developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to ensure proper test coverage and identify areas for improvement in the mobile app development lifecycle.

Soft Skills :

1. Proven experience in Android and iOS mobile application testing across a wide range of devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.

2. Experience in developing automated test scripts using Selenium or related frameworks. Knowledge of advanced scripting techniques beyond simple record-and playback.

3. Strong knowledge of iOS and Android operating systems, including understanding their unique features, APIs, and testing challenges.

4. Experience with mobile-specific testing frameworks such as Appium, Robot Framework, or Calabash
