Job Description

Provide expertise and advice on pharmacovigilance for all assigned Sandoz enterprise local contractual arrangements. Negotiate and maintain local vigilance agreements with external business partners, managing these local alliances, including oversight of compliance, and acting as key contact person for Patient Safety stakeholders and external customers.

Job Description
Major accountabilities:
  • Expertise - Maintain knowledge of current and developing regulations/guidelines for pharmacovigilance and provide expertise and advice to all concerned Sandoz line units and external partners for Sandoz enterprise contractual arrangements, especially for the assigned countries and region.
  • Negotiate - Manage assigned local pharmacovigilance agreements by performing negotiations to define conditions of the agreement with external business partners. Ensure regular contact with key partners and stakeholders to facilitate agreement compliance and good relations.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Communicate requirements to Patient Safety functions, especially local functions, and other Sandoz line units to ensure implementation and compliance with local vigilance agreements. Support in alerting business partners and Patient Safety management and QPPV on compliance and reconciliation issues and have oversight of corrective actions to improve and maintain a high level of compliance.
  • Maintenance - Initiate timely review and updates to pharmacovigilance agreement; contribute to implementation as required to maintain regulatory compliance and Patient Safety standards. Ensure accurate and up-to-date information of agreements in the vigilance agreement repository/ies. Communicate data configuration requirements to Systems Operations to ensure correct and automatic distribution of case reports to partners.
  • Training and communication - Assist in the development, maintenance and training of Sandoz Patient Safety and other concerned departments on local and regional Sandoz pharmacovigilance standards & procedures for pharmacovigilance agreements, as required.
  • Represent Pharmacovigilance Alliance in internal and external meetings as needed, guided by Director Pharmacovigilance Alliance.
  • Audits and Inspections: support internal audits, inspections of Sandoz by Health Authorities, audits at and by Pharmacovigilance Agreement partners, partner inspections.
