Embedded Software Tester

Objective of the position:

Design software test cases based on requirements, development of

automated software and device/system tests, performing (manual and

automatic) software and device/system tests for positioners (embedded

software systems).

Tasks:

− Creation of test cases based on the defined product requirements.

− Coordination of the test coverage of the test cases ensuring device

quality.

− Assessing the testability of product requirements.

− Design and programming/automation of specified test cases and their

evaluation.

− Further development and maintenance of automated test cases during

the project.

− Execution of manual and automated software test cases in test cycles

and during development-accompanying testing.

− Documentation of test steps, errors, and test results.

− Reporting and monitoring of error correction in the development

process.

− Ability to understand tasks, develop them further and propose new

solutions.

candidate profile (skills, certificates, and methods):

−Experience working with tools such as JAMA, JIRA, MANTIS, and translation tools.

−Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

−Knowledge of Agile methodologies and related tools like JIRA.

−ISTQB certificate Foundation Level desirable.

−ISTQB Advanced Level certificate (Test Analyst) desirable.

−Good knowledge in the field of information technology as well as measurement and control technology.

−Good knowledge in the field of automation technology Programming experience (C, C++, .NET, Python).

−Knowledge of MATLAB, SimuLink or Octave desirable.
