Senior Wordpress Developer

Role & responsibilities

a) WordPress Development:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Customize existing themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
• Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Build and manage complex WordPress websites with custom functionalities.
• Designing and building the website front-end.
• Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
• Creating website architecture.

b) Website Maintenance & Optimization:

• Perform regular website maintenance, including updates, backups, and security checks.
• Optimize website performance for speed and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly.
• Monitor website analytics and implement improvements based on data.
• Conducting website performance tests
• Deployment Projects on server
• Monitoring the performance of the live website
  
  

c) Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver high-quality websites.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and technical issues.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

• Adhere to WordPress coding standards and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends and technologies.
• Implement SEO best practices during website development.

Ensure website security and implement appropriate security measures

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience with dynamic, static and e-commerce websites (e.g. platforms like WooCommerce)
• Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles.
• Experience with website hosting and server management.
• Experience with accessibility best practices.

Experience in creating custom blocks for the Gutenberg editor.
