Job Summary:
The Project Manager / Project In-charge will lead and oversee architectural projects from inception to completion, ensuring designs meet client expectations and are executed efficiently and within budget. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Lead architectural projects, providing direction and oversight to project teams.
- Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule.
- Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Design and Planning:
- Develop and present architectural designs and plans to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as sustainability and safety standards.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and models.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients and stakeholders to update them on project progress.
Team Management:
- Mentor and supervise junior architects, designers, and project team members.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure all projects adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Allocate resources efficiently to meet project demands.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to project budgets and timelines.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, BSc / MSc in Interior Design, or a related field.
- Professional certification or licensure as an architect (e.g., COA, IIA) is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years (for Architect / Interior Designer) & 6-8 years (Landscape Architect) of experience in architecture and project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale architectural projects.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant architectural tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant architectural tool
