Team Lead - Purchase

Key Responsibilities:

Mainly Experience in casting forging & coordination with foundry is mandatory.

Procurement & Vendor Management:

• Assigning FPs to respective buyers and coordinating with suppliers
• Reviewing PRs, RFPs, and POs and ensuring timely execution
• Managing vendor approvals, evaluating vendor performance based on PQD (Cost, Quality, and Delivery).
• Retaining or removing vendors based on their performance.

Operational Excellence & Process Management:

• Conducting daily review meetings with the procurement team to track RFP/PR status and work allocation.
• Ensuring material availability as per PR requirements and maintaining CDD (Committed Delivery Date).
• Ensuring materials meet quality norms and auditing vendors for compliance.
• Monitoring supplier delivery timelines and proactively updating stakeholders.
• Managing commercial, legal, and contractual compliance in procurement transactions.

Audit & Compliance:

• Handling API, ISO, and other industry-specific audits with zero non-compliance (NCs).
• Providing necessary data and reports to audit teams.
• Ensuring adherence to purchase procedures and procurement best practices.

Financial & Inventory Control:

• Ensuring minimum inventory cost while maintaining material availability.
• Facilitating timely release of vendor payments and ensuring smooth financial transactions.
• Generating MIS reports for management regarding transactions for each category.

Team Development & Training:

• Training the procurement team on effective procurement processes and strategies.
• Leading and mentoring the team to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Compliance with purchase procedures.
• Material availability as per PR requirements.
• Adherence to quality norms in received materials.
• Vendor performance management based on PQD.
• Effective vendor database management.
• Timely release of payments.
• Closure of non-compliance issues (NCs).
• Cost-effective inventory management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Educational Qualification: BE/BTech/MBA

Experience: Minimum 6 to 7 Year Experience in Valves Industry Mandatory.

Strong knowledge of API, ISO, and other relevant audits.

Expertise in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost control.

Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools, and MIS reporting.

Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
