Role Overview:

As the Sourcing Head F&V, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality fruits and vegetables. You will lead end-to-end sourcing operations, build relationships with farmers and suppliers, and drive strategies to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing Strategy:

Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals.

Identify new sourcing opportunities and optimize the supply chain.

Supplier & Farmer Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, aggregators, and suppliers.

Negotiate favorable terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.

Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with the quality team to ensure products meet Pluckk’s standards.

Monitor and implement measures to maintain consistent quality throughout the supply chain.

Operational Management:

Oversee procurement planning, vendor management, and logistics.

Ensure timely availability of products to meet market demands.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and guide the sourcing team to achieve targets.

Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team.

Cost Optimization:

Analyze market trends and pricing strategies to manage sourcing costs effectively.

Implement initiatives to reduce wastage and improve efficiency.

Compliance:

Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and sustainability standards in sourcing operations.

Key Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.

• Experience:
• 8-12 years of experience in sourcing, with a focus on fruits and vegetables.
• Strong network within the agricultural ecosystem, including farmers, FPOs, and suppliers.

• Skills:
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong understanding of quality standards for fresh produce.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost and process optimization.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.

• Willingness to travel extensively to sourcing regions.
