Job Description
- Assist site HSE Head in complying with local HSE legislations, internal regulations, various HSE issues and guidelines.
- Lead & guide HSE team on implementation of HSE requirement.
- Implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification requirements
- Periodic review of Health, Safety and environment performance against set goals and objectives
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits / Inspections.
- Should handle client visits/audits w.r.t HSE compliance.
- Ensure HSE induction program for all new entrants and continuous training program for all the employees working in the plant including contractors.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environment review meetings are carried out and follow up in closing action items.
- Strengthen efforts towards source reduction by constant training of associates and contract workers on Waste Minimization through filed training and monitor progress.
- Implementation of effluent /hazardous waste handling management techniques and waste minimization methods.
- Implementation of Energy conservation methods and water conservation methods.
- Involvement and advice on environment aspects with related to operations carried out in the site.
- Initiation and implementation of cost reduction in operational front.
- Review of daily work activities performed at ETP operations and ensure smooth functioning of the environment activities.
- Compliance to CFO & CFE conditions in site.
- Implementation of EMS (Environmental Management Standards) & SDGs in site.
- Compliance of all audits observations related to internal, external and safety audits.
- Review of all Environment related documents and records.
- Setting of objective and targets pertaining to HSE.
- Review of safety and environmental management programs for HSE.
- Compliance to customer requirements pertaining to environment.
- Ensure and responsible for implementation of Sustainability Development Goals (SDG)
- Should perform Incident investigation along with CFT to arrive at the CAPA.
- Responsible for preparation and implementation of emergency control measures across the site.
- Monitoring operation of various pollution control facilities and providing troubleshooting support, when needed.
- Responsible for ensuring of compliance obligations, legal and other requirements through compliance obligations register.
- Review and prepare procedures/guidelines in line with the applicable updates.
- Liaison externally with various Regulatory authorities through Corporate Affairs.
- Should look after expansion projects construction safety
