Role & responsibilities:-

1. Team Leadership & Performance Management:

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of tele-collection agents and field collectors to meet and exceed collection targets.
• Set clear performance goals, conduct regular team meetings, and provide ongoing coaching to improve team performance.
• Monitor individual and team performance, ensuring adherence to collection procedures and regulatory guidelines.

2. Collection Strategy Development:

• Develop and implement robust collection strategies to meet recovery targets while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Analyze collection data and trends, making data-driven adjustments to optimize team productivity and recovery rates.
• Create and maintain effective workflows for both tele-collections and field collections to ensure a seamless recovery process.

3. Operational Excellence & Efficiency:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of tele-collection efforts, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and customer retention initiatives.
• Manage the integration of tele-collections and field collection strategies, ensuring seamless coordination between the teams.
• Evaluate and refine collection scripts, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and results.

4. Customer Relationship Management:

• Handle escalated accounts, ensuring a positive resolution to customer issues while maintaining the integrity of the collection process.
• Develop strategies to engage customers positively, balancing debt recovery with customer retention and long-term relationships.

5. Field Collections Oversight:

• Supervise field collections teams, ensuring they follow all operational, compliance, and reporting procedures.
• Regularly review field performance to ensure operational efficiency and ensure field teams represent the company's brand professionally.

6. Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and consumer protection laws related to collections activities.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure that collections practices align with changing regulatory requirements.

7. Reporting & Analytics:

• Prepare and present regular reports on collection progress, agent performance, and operational efficiency.
• Identify trends in data and implement corrective actions to enhance overall performance.

Desired Education, Experience and Competencies

• Bachelors degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
• 10-12 years of experience in collections, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in the fintech industry, with a strong understanding of financial products and services.
• Hands-on experience managing both tele-collection and field collection teams is a must.
• Expertise in collection strategies, both telephonic and field-based, with a focus on process optimization and compliance.
• Strong leadership, team management, and performance optimization skills.
• Advanced knowledge of fintech products and services and their impact on collections.
