The candidate shall be placed at the client site at Jharsuguda, Odisha but would be on role of Vaaman Engineer (I) Ltd.

Job Description -

The primary role of the Safety Manager is to advise the Directors and Managers on all safety, health and welfare matters to ensure the Company complies with its statutory obligations.

Key Performance Indicators

1. Safety, Environment & Health (HSE)

Major Activity: Ensuring Safety of Man, Material & Machine
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Zero accident at the working area
• 100% compliance to safety guidelines

2. PPE Audit

Major Activity: Conducting Monthly PPE Audits with Teams, PPE Replacement & Stock Review
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• 100% replacement of damaged PPE
• 100% availability of good-quality PPE
• PPE stock review and PR (Purchase Request) generation

3. Safety Training Plan

Major Activity: Ensuring Completion of Safety Trainings
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• 100% training completion for all sites as per the Annual Training Plan Calendar

4. Reward & Recognition

Major Activity: Safety Reward Arrangement
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Monthly reward and recognition based on predefined criteria

5. VSAP Related HSE Activity

Major Activity: Improve HSE module scores and implement VSAP safety actions
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Improve VSAP HSE module score by 10%
• Implement machine guarding action plan in a structured manner
• Implement work-at-height action plan
• Ensure tool tackle availability, healthiness, and compliance with VSAP standards
• Review of critical lift documentation

6. Investigation of Incidents

Major Activity: Investigating First-aid and Medical Treatment Cases
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Ensure all CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) reports are implemented

7. Compliance to Safety Guidelines

Major Activity: Statutory Compliance of Plant and Equipment
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Ensure competency fitness certificates for all Vaaman lifting tools and tackles
• Full statutory compliance to relevant safety guidelines

PDIS from state council from Odisha is mandatory
