EHS Manager-EHS Specialist

About the job

• EHS support for India region of supply chain and commercial employees and operational.
• Global EHS management, process safety, management, and implementation in the in the India region.
• Drive Corporate EHS Objectives & Targets implementation.
• Drive Corporate EHS programs and EHS Field Safety management implementation and monitor program effectiveness.
• Monitor EHS India regulation related activity in all India and sub-Region Commercial operations.
• Build, organize, and deliver trainings & audits; provide coaching to commercial employees.
• Organize safety activities for the supply chain, R&D, Corporate and Commercial team, i.e. customer site safety inspection and
• EHS Training, Risk assessments, sales training day, SOP, Job Safety Analysis, Job Safety Observations.
• Lead incident / accident reporting and investigations.
  
  

Experience And Education Requirements

• Bachelors or masters degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, safety, Mechanical or relevant equivalent departments.
• EHS Certifications based on regional and legal requirements.
• 5-7 years of EHS experience in Industrial environment (chemical industry and / or manufacturing background is a plus), production, warehouse, or Field-customer Area locations.
• Very good English, written and spoken, is a must.
• Thorough knowledge of regional EHS regulations relevant to the chemical industry
• Good understanding of chemical and product regulations, enforcement and industry practice
  
  

Technical knowledge and Skill

• Execution of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) activities according to EHS Management System/Program and EHS Goals.
• Building good relations with customers, attending and reporting line trials and ensuring smooth business start.
• Ensuring the application of Health, Safety and Environmental legal regulations and Company EHS rules at all company functions,
• Carrying out and tracking the risk assessments, JSA, Hazard Identification
• Following Local regulations and coordination of relations with the local authorities, implementation, and compliance of local legal EHS legislations.
• To participate and execute an internal and Global EHS audits, prepare the action plans related with the findings and carry out and follow the corrective actions,
• Periodic inspection of the operation area, customer location, sales office, head office buildings, equipment and warehouse (Company and 3PL)
• Providing EHS training
• Collaboration with Global EHS program with the team and implementation of EHS management system and reporting to Global EHS Leader.
• Preparations and updating the EHS SOPs and instructions all relative activities.
• Familiar with safety programs including chemical management, JSA, Behavior Safety, Fall Protection, Hot Work, Confined Space, Line Breaking, Lockout Tag-out, Defensive Driving, and ergonomics.
• Willing to travel up to 80% of working time, mainly within India.
• Field Safety Management in Customer Area, JSA, Training and SOP Self-starter with ability to think and act independently and to make sound recommendations.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to interface with external contacts in different countries/cultures Proved ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of Warehouse operation in the Industry, Field safety management in the customer area and Sales Team
