This person will manage a dynamic team of Bengaluru based direct reports and collaborate with counterparts globally. The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Director of Procurement to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement within the organization. Your Impact
Assist with the development and implementation of procurement strategies that align with AspenTech goals and objectives.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier qualifications and screenings, requisitions, purchase order creation & changes, RFx, contracts, etc.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for AspenTech.
Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
Coordinate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
Track and report on procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to procurement.
Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the procurement team.
What Youll Need
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the software or technology industry with history of advancing roles & responsibilities.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
Strong negotiation, contract management and review, and supplier relationship management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
